Tiger Beat

oak scarf.jpgIf you happen to work in an office loft, then you might be familiar with our dilemma:

Lots of co-workers, one big space, one air conditioner.

And if you're anything like us, you might happen to sit right next to the air conditioner, where it emits its blasts of cold, whip-like wind, and the sleeveless outfit you picked out for the 85+ degree weather outside isn't helping your situation.

So we were on the hunt for a cute, blanket-sized scarf that we could leave at work for the next three months, when we saw this tiger striped-like cashmere and silk option on Oak.

At $165, it would be the most expensive scarf we have ever considered purchasing, but we see many uses for it once the summer's over - a cover on the beach, a legit scarf when it goes from summer to fall, a bedspread when we're not quite ready to blast heat into our bedroom, a turban for late-night silly sessions, etc.

Until then, we'll just wrap ourselves up in it everyday and maybe growl a little if anyone tries to up the A/C.

i need this! i sit right next to the damn AC, which means i'm being blasted on with freezing air 8 hours a day. by the end of last week, i had developed a cold. everyone gets mad at me when i try to turn it down, claiming that "it's so HOT!" but no one wants to trade places with me.

Alexander McQueen has an adorable tiger stripe scarf in light gray/pale pink with an even more terrifying price (I think it's still on net-a-porter).

You completely described what I go through every day. I haven't been sick since November, until recently thanks to the wonderful air conditioner!! Thing is I'm not even that close to it, but it vents my way =[

This scarf is beautiful, and to think that it serves more than one purpose is def a great find...

Wow, I am always freezing at work, and I am the ONLY one right under an AC vent. BUT there's no way I'm spending $165 on a scarf. I'd rather freeze. It is currently 90 degrees in Burbank, CA. 60 degrees at my desk.
