"Lily Donaldson, dripping in gold Bulgari jewelry, said she has no room left for artworks. 'What, with my eight Picassos and a couple of Man Rays, where does one put it, under the bed?'" --WWD.

She must have been joking. If she's not, the first thing I'll do when I'm in NYC will be to steal those Picassos. So unfair.

not all picassos cost millions of dollars. My boss bought one last year for *only* around 45 grand. Picasso did thousands of paintings in his life, so a lot of his work isn't that rare, thus making the pieces not soooo expensive and actually kindof affordable to people who want original artwork.

She was being sarcastic right?
I wouldn't be surprised if she had eight Picasso's. They're probably bad Picassos or unimportant Picassos (Picasso had a huge output so both are possible). All that phrase makes me think is that she has bad taste in artwork. With contemporary art as good as it is today, why would anyone bother with overpriced modern art?

God, I didn't know Lily made that much money. She wasn't even on the Forbes list of the richest models. But then again, she's been in a lot of campaigns-Burberry, Max Mara, and Dolce and Gabbana for Spring 08, to name a few.

Her father is Matthew Donaldson. She comes from a lot of money. It does sound as if she was being sarcastic though, if not she sounds like a total twat. :-)

That is obviously a joke. An original Picasso is worth countless times more than Lily has made in her career as a model.
