WHICH high-end fashion publicist is in hot water for expensing her manicures and pedicures as a business necessity?

I dunno, but it makes sense to me. When you work in fashion, your appearance is your business.

but isn't that part of "fashion" business? anything that pertains to your occupation and certainly appearance is priority. what hogwash. i say let her make it as a business expense.

I agree; whoever it is, they're a fashion publicist and those people can't have ugly cuticles or crusty feet :)

I completely agree with everyone who has posted. She has to have her nails and toe nails be perfect or else snooty fashion types will take one look and not work with her. But does this mean she should be able to expense her clothing as well?? I think so! The fashion industry has ridiculously high standards for the people who work in it, making barely enough to stay in an apartment let alone be decked out in high fashion every day!

There's alot of things that need to change in the US fashion business. (Junior staffers & artists being paid properly is one!!)

Publicists being allowed to expense clothing, manis, pedis, hell frikkin yess!! Your publicist reps your firm and its clients, they can't be looking off season an unkempt!

Well, it depends...How much did it all cost and did she throw any phones at anyone in the process?
