i have to say that i disagree with this example being egregious - i don't see what's that original about slapping a rosette on a pair of flip-flops. this is very different from the steve madden/alexander mcqueen comparison.
it's one thing when people knock off logos, signature elements (the gucci horsebit, for instance) or very individualistic designs...but flip-flops? with a flower on them? i'm not a fashion blogger, but i think this has probably been done a few...million...times.
and who wants to pay $200 for ff's, anyways? then you're just asking for it.

I agree with the guest at 2:11. I think we can all agree fashion doesn't have to be expensive to be viable, and at the end of the day who cares? I have a pair of thongs with a rose and I love them, I don't care if anyone notices the fact that my shoes are a "cheap knockoff", it's not like I'm pretending I own a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti's... they're just flip flops... with a rose , get it?

Don't you think this knockoff stuff is getting out of control? I know that the people that buy the knockoffs would probably never buy the pricier originals, but these knockoff brands, don't they have any originality anymore?
