i don't think it matters, cause the shoe itself should never be bought by anyone...

Kobe Bryant's wife Vanessa was just photographed wearing them, along with that Eiffel Tower purse from the movie...so I guess there is a market for SATC "looks".

I was wondering about the prices, I guess we have to remember SATC is fiction! I still love them and want them, what a great something blue.

Yeah Kobes wife had those ugly shoes.. but go figure she always looks like she is in need of a stylist. Her daughters were dressed cute and one was carrying the hideous Eiffel Tower purse.
No one should invest in those hideous shoes or accessories. Its sad how people are brainwashed into trends :(

I have to seriously question the scenario in which these, of all the Blahniks in the world, cost a grand. These shoes ain't that special, women... Not at all. I can think of at least 10 other over-priced pairs that would be more worth having...

Didn't Denise Richards give these to Goodwill in one of the episodes of her new reality show? You could probably buy them there for $5, the amount anyone should pay for a hideous shoe like this.

These Manolo's were reportedly made especially for the movie, but you can get them now on the Neiman Marcus website for $895... though what's $50 when you're paying over $700 for a pair of shoes?

I'm thinking that if she had said 945 instead of 545, it would have seemed too outrageous to most of the viewers... 545, while still extremely expensive to most women, is a lot easier to swallow than 945, which probably would've come across as too ridiculously excessive and made Carrie less likeable, as in "what kind of person spends 945 on shoes?"

Could it be that even Carrie Bradshaw might not drop a grand on shoes in today's economic climate? Bizarre, because now that she's with someone who might actually be able to afford to buy her Manolos, she gets them cut price, but back on the show when she bought her own shoes with a freelance writer salary ... she paid sticker.
