It was maybe Running with Scissors? I mean that was a book first. Augustine Burroughs is obsessed with Pucci in the book I know because his mother always wears Pucci dresses and he's slightly obsessed with them and slightly jealous.

the mother from the nanny diaries always shopped and she mentioned pucci a couple times and wore it as well. i read running with scissors and i remember him being obsessed with silver and shinny things, not pucci.
