Don't like the photos at all, but do like "The Little Mermaid" lyrics.

Just in time to give costume inspiration to all for the Mermaid Parade at Coney Island, perhaps?

umm, yeah, apart from the last two photos, she looks like a washed up hag... Really, there's no way this spread could be taken in a good way.

Thank you tho, for a trip down memory lane... The song is officially stuck in my head and I'm delighted! ;)

the more I look at this the more I laugh... seriously!! How embarrassing to do such a spread. Do models realize how stupid some stuff is? Or are they just grateful to be in front of a camera? I think the photog and creative mind secretly hates this girl... this is a new level of shame... haha,
love it.

Oh my GOSH -- do you know who I thought this was? That girl from ANTM -- I forget her name, but it was the season they went to Africa, I think. And this girl was runner-up, maybe... and should have won (over Nayema or whatever her name was).

i'm torn, it's a bit of an ariel phantasy which isn't too bad, but then again, who would wear a bag of seashells around their neck. in some pictures she looks like she could be in that crappy travolta film. or post man. overall though, dreamy.

guest 1:07, yeah! the girl from ANTM, Kahlen Rondot, totally looks like Carmen Kass... anyway, I wonder if the next big inspiration for fashion is the sea creatures after the past season's bird-feather inspired look.

I like the Zac Posen dress... all those watercolored dresses he made were amazing.

Love the concept (and ariel haha) and the execution is pretty good (im partial to fantasy inspired photography) but they could have pushed it way further than they did

I like Carmen but this spread is awful, maybe it wouldn't have been this bad if they didn't involve to much fishnet and wet sand. When your wearing dresses i hardly doubt putting sand all over the face, body and hair is a good look, maybe if theyre wearing swimsuits but it just doesn't look right with dresses it makes you look like you were thrown overboard

a lovely theme, but not very practical.

I love this... since when do editorials have to be realistic or practical? A little fantasy is, well, fantastic.

the fourth picture after the cut is upside down.

and i love carmen but her facial expressions in this editorial could be a lot better..

what! You guys, this is a beautiful spread, very artistic. like someone said before, it's playful and it's supposed to be a fantasy. I love it when they do spreads that aren't practical because I see practical everyday. Yeah, it's unrealistic, but that's the whole point, it's supposed to be fun:0)

I actually really like this. It isn't pretty, really. But who said it had to be? It's fantasy. She looks like a washed up mermaid, and I think it's fantastic.
