well, officially. there's a private sale going on right now that started at 9am, but between you, me, and everybody who reads this, they're not checking names at the door. in fact, there are signs all over the street entrance inviting people up.

ok. hope you dont mind answering - but did they have the red trapeze jacket, what about the grey boyfriend jacket, the black silk romper? Was there a line to get in? was space as small as the W hotel space and the his apt - union square?

Can ya tell i'm a little crazy about his stuff??

Check ebay for Alexander Wang and you will probably see a lot of the stuff that doesn't fit the buyer up for auction soon.

why do people complain about the fashion industry being elitist? That is the whole point! People pay for items to differeniate themselves from the masses. Otherwise you would not be scavenging a sample sale.

they basically have everything form the spring collection-I saw the romber but those went pretty fast...I kept seeing the sales women restocking though so I'm sure its still goign with good stuff. I went at 9 am this morning sharp and there were already about 30 ppl walking around..the prices are good, not great though. grey skort for $100 and white button down tank thing for $140...that new space is amazing though, its huge!

I don't know about the Chanel there, but the one in Boston had some really cute ballet flats, costume jewelry, and scarves on sale. I didn't really check out the clothes.

i just left there empty-handed, but there's still a lot of merchandise. not a lot of different styles, but mass quantities of khaki shorts, cute cashmere cardis for $100, black skirts, white silk blouses. i think all of the really exciting stuff went this morning! i shouldn't have 2nd guessed myself and gone anyway this morning. i was afraid they would be checking names at the door!

oh no! i just read faran's blog on NYLON that cashmere sweaters were $40?! i asked a worker there because they color coded everything with a dot sticker and i couldn't tell if hot pink meant $40 or $100 and she assured me they were $100 apiece. i would have gotten every color if they were $40!!! someone let me know, and i may swing by again. i'm a nut!
