Taylor Momsen of Gossip Girl fame just got signed to IMG models.
This make her one of the youngest girls on the roster, since Taylor is fourteen - a year younger than Gemma Ward when she scored her first Prada campaign and leaped from IMG’s development board onto their women’s one.
There’s no denying that Taylor has model looks and model height, but it’s interesting to note IMG’s scooping her up so quickly, since she has yet to score any big campaigns or magazine covers.
Expect a big Teen Vogue spread soon, and also probably some sort of Neutrogena / Clinique / Lip Smackers partnership, unless she sails straight past the Dooney and Bourke market and scores some Gap ads.
Also: IMG signed Mischa when she was about sixteen and turned her from a child actress into a sex bomb. It would be silly to think that isn’t also their strategy here.
