Taylor Momsen to IMG!

taylor momsen.jpg Taylor Momsen of Gossip Girl fame just got signed to IMG models.

This make her one of the youngest girls on the roster, since Taylor is fourteen - a year younger than Gemma Ward when she scored her first Prada campaign and leaped from IMG's development board onto their women's one.

There's no denying that Taylor has model looks and model height, but it's interesting to note IMG's scooping her up so quickly, since she has yet to score any big campaigns or magazine covers.

Expect a big Teen Vogue spread soon, and also probably some sort of Neutrogena / Clinique / Lip Smackers partnership, unless she sails straight past the Dooney and Bourke market and scores some Gap ads.

Also: IMG signed Mischa when she was about sixteen and turned her from a child actress into a sex bomb. It would be silly to think that isn't also their strategy here.

in terms of her height, i'd say the latter. on GG, when she's walking down the hallway with friends, she CLEARLY towers over them.

i'm excited 2 see what IMG will do with her.

Taylor is gorgeous, but I never expected her to be picked up. I also didn't realize she was only 14?! WOW.

I'd rather see her as the new face of Chanel (Sorry, Emma).

She's been "famous" for awhile now so I'm pretty sure that 5'4 1/2" is an old height. Afterall, she's around the age girls start shooting up in height.

seriously, what's her real height? almost all websites i've found on her report her being only 5'4'', that'd be 4 inches under the usual runway minimum.

Off topic old-lady rant:

why does this child look older than me? I was 12 when she was born, for crying out loud! My itty bitty baby sister is two years older than her!!

14 year olds these days freak me right out. At 14 I still hid my body under baggy tshirts, cardigans and skater pants, because I was still coming to terms with my body. These girls are not only comfortable with their body, they're have so mastery of their bodies that they can pull off glamorous and sexy (which is not an adjective that should be used to describe a 14 year old, by the way!).

i hope she doesn't go the mischa barton route. taylor has actually done quite a few films i'm hoping she'll go that route and not just be the poster girl for every brand there is.

ehh.. i dont really like taylor anymore
ALL her pictures on the red carpet (and i mean ALL) look exactly like this -
- curly short hair
- smoky eye
- some random dress(good or bad i dont remember what shes worn)
and the most annoying of all -
THE HEAD TILT.
she ALWAYS has her head tilted to a side and its really annoying.

According to gossip girl insider, Taylor is 5 ft. 10. She has definitely got a model figure though, and not usually expected from a 14 yr old.
