Streetwalker: Some Like It Hot

Got her: at Prince and Lafayette

Stalked her: As anyone who's stepped outside today can attest, it is damn hard to look good in this sweltering heat, but this chick managed to look hot without breaking a sweat.

Shot her: Because without showing too much skin, her outfit was bare enough to comfortably brave this heat wave. Plus, we love the whole shirt tucked into high waisted shorts look; it's flattering on almost anyone and has a retro feel we love.

She says: "I'm wearing all Lyell. Their stuff is really cute and it's too hot to wear anything more!"

We say: We think you should work for Lyell -- after shooting you, we high-tailed it right over there.

Those gladiators totally stumpify her legs/are way distracting. The rest of her look is hella cute, though.

today at the 81st street station some crazy man was spraying people with water from his bottle. usually, people would be completely pissed off by this guy, but everyone seemed to welcome it. i wanted to hug him, but the only thing i can wear in this heat is a slip dress.

i don't know about you guys, but tucking shirts into high waisted shorts = not a supremely flattering silhouette on most people. including me.

For anyone craving gladiators... for uber-cheap... I saw that Old Navy added some to their online store. They're made of synthetic material rather than leather, but just thought I'd throw it out there. I passed because of the aforementioned synthetic materials, and because I don't like how gladiators shorten the leg. (I have bigger calves, too -- so I try to avoid ankle straps.)

Here's the link to the Old Navy gladiator sandals:

(No, I don't work for them -- just sayin'...)

I have yet to see/find a pair of white shoes that look good (besides tennis shoes)

This is the second time those shorts have been featured in Streetwalker in as many weeks.

She is uber-cute, but this outfit would be downright wretched on anyone larger than a size 6. I don't understand how it could be considered ubiquitously flattering.

I, too, noticed what EmilyAnn just pointed out. These shorts are NOT THAT cute...

Wow, anyone who thinks her legs look stumpy has some serious body image issues (then again I guess this is a site full of models). She's so hot, like a young Phoebe Cates.
