Streetwalker: Jump-her

Jun 17, 2008 @ 2:22pm

streetwalker anjali small.jpgAnjali, 21 Intern at brand marketing firm

Got her: at Lafayette and Great Jones

Stalked her:Because polka dots really do something for us (and apparently guys really dig them too). Plus a jumper is really one of the more practical options this summer.

Shot her: Because she keeps the rest of her outfit relatively simple by wearing plain black flats and a brown bag, while her aviators and substantial anklet add a bit of personal swagger.

She says: The jumper is actually from Delia's. It was only $30 bucks!

We say: Jump - Jump on it.

I like her sunglasses, but the jumper is not flattering at all, I'm afraid (not that I could pull it off either!) A for effort girl!

i love her shoes, and she herself is adorable, but i have to agree - the jumper is pulling and bunching in all the wrong places. perhaps it was more forgiving in person?

Those flats are simply ADORABLE, does anyone know where they are from?

And that jumper fails to impress me. Maybe if it were less ill-fitting?

i would have to agree with the consensus...i like her style but perhaps this is not the best manifestation of it.

that jumper is HORRIBLE but the girl is pretty, and her shoes look kind of interesting.

Maybe the jumper would look better if it were a little baggier and not pulling so much.

I think the jumper looks great on her- unfortunately, clothes are cut for people with the bodies of 12 year olds!

I agree. Good effort. Really unfortunate outcome. I've yet to see a non-model really rock a romper.

I think it's cute..to tight at the top but hey she is a woman in a romper..what do you expect. A+ for effort.

I like the looks as far as how it's put together, but it seems a little ill fitting...the runching in the front. She gets an A for a valiant effort though

oh dear, i love jumpers also - my weekend wardrobe! - but this is terribly unflattering. cute girl and all but let this be a lesson, no matter how cute you or your clothes are, if they don't fit properly it will not be a good look.

Hmm, I agree with the general consensus that in an ideal world, jumpers would be flattering, but this definitely is not! She looks cute though!

guest at 3:03 - i believe the shoes are from urban; they're called the "suede scalloped skimmer."

the jumper isn't exactly flattering on her, and it does not look like it cost $30.

I agree - "A" for effort, but the jumper seems to be displaying a bad case of "Star Petunia"

post 3:20pm I agree. Aren't they called rompers? I always thought jumpers were those overall-like skirts that toddler and middle school girls wear. Beats me, she looks adorable nonetheless!

ewww...yeah, the romper/jumper is cute but ill-fitting, which makes it kind of not that cute. its like trying to wear that outfit that looks amazing on the manequin in the store but horrible on you - cute idea but dont do it unless it fits no matter how much you "just love the idea of it!"... sometimes i feel like the street walkers are a little lacking, some cute ideas, but most of the people look either way too trended-out, or they are wearing out-there stuff that the normal girl could never/would never want to rock... hmm....

Very “pin up girl” gone>>>FIT student !!!! cute!!! I’d wear it. She looks very comfy and cool. The only no-no I have to mention is the black. It’s fighting with the navy. I would have worn accessories that bring out the dot color, like a fat white bracelet, and I would've kept the rest of the accessories (shoes bag etc) in that rich cognac color that complements navy so well.
