Silvia Venturini Fendi dedicated the latest Fendi menswear collection to poverty, but that wasn’t the only strange thing about it.
Enter wedges for men.
We’re not really sure where they came from, or how they made it to the runway, but what we do know is that this is right up there with Mcqueen’s one-piece bathing suit on the weirdness spectrum.
We know we might take some heat for this, but we feel like this is just another example to add to the list of this season’s misappropriation of women’s wear, to go with cinched waists for guys.
We guess we could see them on certain attention-loving men – They would garner some looks on the street. And we know some guys may want a little extra height, too, but we’re not sure this is the way to go about it.
Who knows, maybe this could be the next big thing, but for now we’re predicting that this is a trend that stays right where it should be – on the runway.

is this THAT big of a deal? seriously, these wedges are probably only 1 inches, at least they aren’t heels.
i can obviously see you would’ve hated to live in louis xiv’s time where men walked in heels.
i find the one piece quite sexy actually. as for the wedges, if women can wear pants, why can’t men wear wedges? the idea that wedges=women is so arbitrary; there is nothing innately feminine about that.
back in louis xiv’s time though, men wearing heels was the norm. you have to consider the time we live in now though, where only women wear heels, so yeah it kind of it a big deal for Fendi to introduce wedges for men
i think most men would have hated to live in a time when men walked in heels. i feel this post is more about a trend in mens fashion where a lot of the new styles have been feminine. this is obviously a conspiracy perpetrated by the government to control us by making men and women more similar.

See my issue with this is that wedges and heels, no matter how high or low, on women are a sex appeal/height thing. They push your butt up, giving even the most emaciated of models just a hint of a booty. And we all hate Bubble Butt Guy. You know what I mean. Not cute.
