Daisy Chain Breaks with IMG

daisy lowe and mark ronson.jpg IMG's celebrity-model roster is minus one.

A spokesperson just confirmed a rumor that the agency parted ways with Gavin Rossdale spawn and British It-Girl, Daisy Lowe, just seven months after signing her post New York Model Management.

As far as London's concerned, she's sticking with Women, but no word on where she's headed in New York.

But there's no bad blood between her and IMG, in fact, the spokesperson added, "She's a beautiful girl and we wish her well".

Which means there's no juicy story behind the split, though we wonder why she'd leave a top agency just as her star is rising state side.

Maybe she figures her Ronson relationship will be enough?

or maybe it's because she's just. not. model-y. i've seen her in person, and yes, while she is a "beautiful girl," she's not a model...

I agree with guest 3:06; although i've never seen her in person (even though she is obviously a beautiful girl), on the BBC programme Class of 2008 in which she starred alongside Portia Freeman, there was no contest between the two of them in terms of which one was more modely, and also in the episodes that she was in New York for fashion week she only booked one or two shows...

IMG never got her any work - she is a celebrity in London but not in the US and she isn't a real model. She really doesn't have the features only the height and I think she is even taller than model height. She is riding the wave of stardom on the back of her dad and new boyfriend.

How was she unprofessional? I think her star is on the rise because of the people she knows. Since she talked about Lindsey Lohan she has been photographed everywhere and goes to the opening of an envelope.
