It’s That Time Again…

wwd.jpgWWD, the “fashion bible” and sister publication to W, is seeking interns for the fashion and accessories editorial departments for Fall 2008.

You must be available two to five days a week, from 10am to 6pm. You must be getting school credit for the internship and you must be a “highly motivated, organized, self-starter”. And, obviously, you must be both knowledgeable and interested in fashion.

Responsibilities include keeping track of clothing samples in the fashion closet, administrative tasks, assisting with location scouting, model casting and assisting fashion editors on NYC photo shoots.

Basically it’s the internship to have if you’re looking to break into the industry.

If you can handle that, send resumes and cover letters in the body of your e-mail to WWDInterns@gmail.com. (Also, you have to be available for an in-person interview in New York.)

And here’s the second best part: they’re offering a small stipend for lunch and the subway, so seriously, this would be almost like getting paid, which we all know is pretty rare in fashion.

Mention us in your email. We promise it will help.

Lucky New Yorkers! Why can't Chicago be home to some big time fashion magazines that people actually care about and read?

hmmm that's odd that they require credit aaand are paying a small stipend. Normally you only need one or the other, and, well let's face it, why pay interns when you can settle liability issues with credit approval.
