You got the lyric blatantly wrong, it's "When the moon hits the SKY," not EYE.

Honestly now.

It's Linda. She grew up playing the accordian in her Italian household (parents were born in Italy) in Ontario, Canada.

There is a classic photo of Linda and her accordian shot by Arthur Elgort many years ago and you can see it here: http://www.arthurelgort.com/ Click on FASHION, then click EARLY PICTURES.

Nick Knight shot live footage of Linda playing her accordian - I think you can find it at his Showstudio site.

Linda also played her accordian with Bryan Adams on an album where all the proceeds went to breast cancer research. She admits that she loves to play her accordian but she can't sing.

eye or sky, ça n'importe pas. do you really need a French person to tell you it's accordIOn. it's like, so not cool to spell things wrong.
next thing we know, it'll be acceptable to say Christian "Laboutin". I have seen said spelling on a prominent person's Moleskine (who shall remain nameless)

When people have their spelling corrected, they only know to get defensive, it's a given fact. then again, Americans can't even speak English, so I guess you are forgiven ;)
