Streetwalker: Flower Power

Streetwalker 71108.jpgCharlie, Assistant to the Creative Director of Tibi

Got Her: About to cross Prince at Lafayette.

Stalked Her: Because she was so tall, we could have sworn she was a model and had to get a closer look. And, among the sea of tourists wearing neutrals, her dress seriously stood out.

Shot Her: Because her dress was a modern take on the 70s, resembled a Marimekko print, yet wasn’t from H&M. Plus, she had great confidence and wasn’t afraid to wear bold stripes and bright flowers.

She Says: “This is actually a Tibi dress. It’s from last season, but I just love it. It makes people smile.”

We Say: We love a little not-so-vintage, vintage.

but um didn't you guys post about how this dress pattern was not that great, not even that long ago? and how people were ripping it off but you couldn't figure out why since it wasn't great anyway?

I feel like I just dropped a hit of acid when I look at that dress. It's a very interesting design.

It's a bit much in my opinion, but I guess how well she works it is dependent upon her personality.

no offence, but it seems like every time you say someone stands out from a sea of people.

What fashionista was saying was that the pattern of the dress wasn't that amazing, which I would have to agree on. It's definitely the cut and the top details that make this dress look amazing.
