Target Heads Way Uptown

target.jpgTarget's opening in Harlem!

If you live anywhere other than New York, you probably get to go to Target whenever you like. But for us, it's an excursion to the heart of Queens or middle of Brooklyn.

The mega-store is finally opening up a Manhattan location, making it that much easier for us to access their Go International collections (and insane beauty section) and everything else we really want, don't need and buy anyway.

The store isn't slated to open until 2009. By then, we'd bet on a Karl for Target collection, even though we'd do anything for a Vivienne Westwood designed capsule.

See you on the 6!

what are you talking about? the Target in Brooklyn sits right on top of the 2,3,4,5,B,D,M,N,Q AND R trains. the G doesn't even go there.

And there is a Target in Riverdale, you can take the 1 train to 225th Street. It is much cleaner than the Atlantic Target.

the heart of Brooklyn? It is only about two or three stops into Brooklyn on the 4 or 5, and you are right underneath it...literally don't even have to step outside.

@ 3:53

actually, he said that mainly because he was angry that H&M made only limited quantities of his designs and a lot of normal people weren't able to get them like he intentionally planned.

..and H&M produced L and XL sizes of his clothes without asking him first.

Great news b/c I hate the Brooklyn target - but it is certainly closer to downtown Manhattan than a Harlem location would be.

Coming from a B'lynn Target frequenter. B'lynn Target before 11am on Saturdays & Sundays is a far different store than Target after 11am on Saturdays & Sundays. Before 11am, store is very, very nice & quiet.

1) There's a huge brand new Target near Brooklyn College that has everything
2) It's been common knowledge that Target will open on 125th Street for almost a year.
3) 125th Street is an amazing shopping area- MAC, Body Shop, Marshall's and more.
4) Waaaay Uptown? Are you serious?? It's about 25-30 minutes from Soho. Yeesh. Waaay Uptown is Inwood or Washington Heights.

let me guess, you get a nosebleed crossing 14th street, right?
