Quote of the Day

“The “morning after” look has morphed from ignominy to desirability — the walk of shame has become chic. Pick up any tabloid and there they all are, the cream of London’s youth, working the look. Peaches and Pixie, Agyness Deyn and Alexa Chung, all caught in daylight dressed in night-before clothes — metallics, men’s cardigans, smudgy make-up, unbrushed hair and a squirt of eau de sex.” - Alice B-B, on the walk of shame, in the London Times.

so chipped nails, smudged make up, and being promiscuous are considered "fashion. " the apocalypse should be occurring in 5... 4... 3...

what did u expect? how many pics of these girls do u see at after-dark parties, seemingly having a good time? we all knew they were partying it up, now we're going to point the finger just bc they havent made it home by dawn? not rle a shocker, that observation *shrug*

I can remember looking at my slept in eye makeup and bed head-y hair in the 70s and 80s (I know, I am showing that I am a different demographic than most of you guys haha), and thinking, "I wish I could look this good when I go out!" It is an easy, I have better things to do look, and boy am I glad that we don't have to be perfect anymore. Oh wait, we now have to be perfectly imperfect to be cool. Maybe my grey roots will become chic, like dark roots on bottle blondes. Isn't walk of shame chic really just another "look"? But I take pride in knowing that everyone's coming round to how I have always thought!

I've been working the walk of shame/ morning after for day for a long time now. Really it works best for me because I am not a calm, cool, collected and coiffed kind of girl.

Bedhead, minimal smudgy makeup, flowing swaddles of cardigans and scarves are much more comfortable to me than a more structured and polished look. While I like to be fancier once in awhile, rocking the messy is my default option.

It's just more me.

I love this look! Ever since I read and saw In Her Shoes where Maggie walks out of the bathroom in a ripped t-shirt and a hangover and flirted with her sister's boyfriend I've wanted to pull of messy

I think that this look represents a new age in fashion, and lets face it, not having to spend hours in front of the mirror every morning to perfect your hair and make-up has to be a good thing.
For two years i wore this look everyday as i had to get up at six in order to get to college (incidentally for a fashion course) and my disheveled look was always applauded so in my opinion; minimum effort+oversized cardigan=the 21st century.

i like this look sometimes but with my neatfreak personality i couldnt wear it everyday. i understand it when ur tired and running late but even then ive gotten up at 5am for work over the summer (where this is definately not in the dres code) and 5:30 for school so im good at looking put together fast. i think a little mess is nice here and there but i need a balance
