We pretty much fell in love with YSL’s spring 2008 star adorned stilettos. Sadly, tottering around Manhattan in strappy heels isn’t the most practical option most of the time – Not to mention the $600 price tag is a little out of our wallet’s reach these days.
Enter the Heaven Star Sandal from Topshop. What we love about these heavenly kicks is that they take everything we adored about the YSL stiletto without ripping them off. The flat shoe has a totally different shape than the YSL, and the darker stars outlined by the white make for a slightly different twist.
Also, as my feet have been known to reject any sort of plastic strappy thong contraption, these sandals, made of soft leather, actually look comfortable.

The best part of the YSLs was that the stars were plastic.
When I went to topshops website and zoomed on the shoes, the cheap suede stars look like something you can do with materials from Joann’s fabric.
adorable
hey there’s a new project – DIY YSL :)
the YSL ones were on sale at Bergdorf Goodman as of last thursday
If this was F21 you all at Fashionista would say they were copying YSL.
Most of the posts are about copyright issues.Yet this cheap rip off of YSL seems to please you lol !?
just because they took strappy sandals and added stars doesn’t mean they ripped off ysl. are stars suddenly a trademark shape? no. moreover, they (the site) already did an adventures in copyright for the ysl shoes (by asos – which were although not exact, a BLATANT copy of ysl design.)
EWWWWWW. I’m sorry but these starts look CHEAP. And, yes it is a blatant knock off. Next time be a little less obvious about advertising for Top Shop.
i agree with guest@5:46 and naughtyintern…this is pretty out of character for you guys, and does come off sounding like a topshop advertisement…i feel like these shoes are no less of a knock-off than most of the adventures in copyrights that you guys post…
Tried these on in store the other day – there were plenty left, at the crazy busy Oxford Circus location, no less, which should have been a clue as to their wearability. They look cheap and gauche on. If you are thinking of ordering them online, do NOT do it!
this is crap! how is it any different than the other knock off things you write? you listed some reasons, but they were not valid ones. you guys are totaly hypocrits
Unfortunately, these YSL star strappies are also available in flats as well. Well, at least they are over here in Europe. So it really is a full-on adventure in copyright.
