Comic Book, Not Look

michael kors ad also glamourpuss.jpgSo here’s something weird:
Don’t ask me why, but I was in a comic book store yesterday, and randomly, I picked up something called Glamourpuss.
The cover read, “World Peace: Michael Kors Luggage Leads the Way!”
Inside? An article (is that what you call them when it’s in a comic book?) entitled “There’s Nothing Funny About Anti – Depressants” included the following: a hand-drawn depiction of Michael Kors’ Fall 07′ ads with Tanya D and a story including the quote, “Carla Bruni? Oh, please. Glamourpuss is sure she’s a very nice woman but hold up the best picture of her ever taken on her best day and put it next to the model in the Michael Kors ad and… come on, Dr. Norm, NO comparison.”
Naturally, we scanned.
Decipher!

omg…

my two loves…worlds. colliding.

So funny. My husband is a secret comics nerd and has bought me this before. It comes out every month. There actually used to be a lot more fashion comics back in the 70′s. I actually got some of the un-colored pages at a convention in San Diego once. All very fierce (ha)

I want this.

pfft this is horrible

where can I get this? I LOOOVVEEE it- so funny!

I SAW THIS! With my boyfriend at a comic shop the other day! I wanted to look through it, but comic book store etiquette doesn’t allow for looking without buying. Anyway, yay!

I get glamourpuss at the local comic shop (Newbury Comics actually), published by Aardvark-Vanaheim, inc. the author is doing a bit on photorealism in comics (hence the recreations of the ads) and some parody of fashion mags. Funny stuff.
