Mena Suvari's Totally Awesome Nail Polish

mena pull.jpg Faran took Britt to Andy Warhol's 80th birthday last night. They drank hot pink Velvet Edie cocktails and met Mena Suvari. It went like this:

Britt: Ok Faran, don't freak out, but look at her nail polish.

Faran: Oh. Wow.

Mena smiles.

Faran: Hi Mena, you look amazing. Can we take a picture of your nailpolish?

Mena: Sure! Isn't it great? It's from Essie's new neon collection.

Faran: What's it called?

Mena: Bermuda shorts I think?

Britt: I have on "Short Shorts," pointing at her toes, I'm obsessed. Your hair looks kind of amazing by the way - it's so Andy.

Faran: How long did it take you to do that?

Mena: My friend Alex did it. It took about an hour and a ton of hairspray. It's in that awkward growing out stage so I have to get creative.

Faran: Well it looks amazing.

Mena: Thank you!

that is one chunky ass gorgeous ring. i didnt even know she was married? but yeah i think she looks fantastic - hair, makeup, and the nails are a unique color....i would know i paint my nails a enw color evry week and right now its a hot neon peach!

It is a nice colour not too in your face but a subtle prettiness. + the ring is pretty fab.

I have this nail polish, and I can attest that it is totally cool. It's a good replacement for the Chanel Robertson collection if you don't want to spend $25 on nail polish.

in sunlight it actually looks super purple/hot pink. its a great color.

Suvari is totally hot and interesting, which makes it frustrating she doesn't get better work. It's refreshing too, that she's finding ways to style her short hair, instead of just tacking on extensions like every other starlet.

It's actually called "Secret Stash", and it took up residence on my toes in May and hasn't left yet. (Well, it's been refreshed/redone...)

Does anyone know if Essie got rid of the three toxic ingredients so prevalent in nail polishes: DBP, formaldehyde, and toluene? I know that Butter London, NARS, and the newer OPI collections are free of these ingredients, but I was hoping that Essie finally came to her senses.
