Streetwalker: Cher to Elton

moa streetwalker small.jpgMoa, Visiting from Sweden

Got Her: at Ludlow and Rivington

Stalked Her: Because let's face it - very few girls can wear knee length gladiators AND a one-shoulder dress and not look like they just walked off the set of 300, but somehow this chick managed to just pull it off.

Shot Her: We love the soft pink color of her dress, which helps to off-set the serious gladiators. Plus her hair kind of makes us want to quote Clueless...

She says: I'm just visiting for a few weeks but I think I want to move here!

We say: She looks like one of those Botticelli chicks. Sorry, we couldn't resist...

ummm. she totally looks like an extra from the 300. Maybe if she was taller and thinner she could pull it off but that dress is just not right with those shoes. Seriously you guys need to go shoot people beyond soho/LES/NoLita

I hate the hitop gladiators, but she looks refreshingly.....well glowing and gorgeous. Usually the "Streetwalkers" you find look like hipster street clowns but she looks pretty! Great find Fashionista

Is that seam supposed to be diagonal? Or is the dress too small for her?

I don't like how the seam of the dress cuts diagonally across her bust; it makes her look lopsided. I actually think the shoes look good on her, though.

I respectfully disagree. She DOES look like an extra that just walked off the set of 300.

Ya she totally looks like she is an extra from (insert ancient Greece/Rome movie here)

Maybe with a more modern, clean hairstyle it would have worked. Maybe if the sandal was a heel?

I"m confused about how you put on those shoes. Do they come apart somewhere, or do you just have to wiggle your foot through the whole thing?

This look is appalling. This isn't being "fashionable" or even "trendy"; this is full-on fashion victimization. C'mon sheeple, wake up and smell the couture - real style has next to nothing to do with trendiness.

the seam just hits wrong. her figure is beautiful, but that dress is not well made. the shoes are really cute and she wears them very nicely. that dress designer should be shot- who would ever think that seam would work on anybody! even a model couldn't pull that one off!

she would fit perfectly into ancient rome! ashley olsen managed to pull off high chanel gladiators without looking too roman/greek. i think her outfit would look a lot better if she had done her hair differently.

you guys need to venture outside of Soho and shoot real new yorkers...not tourists or fresh transplants...head uptown..maybe even an outer borough while you're at it.

All these Soho people are so...how do you say...forced. I don't see FASHION when I look at their pictures. I see tourist or wannabe hipster trying to dress how they feel NYers dress.

#28 you hit the nail on the head! That seam is terribly placed. The shoes are way too trendy and it looks like a costume. But something about her being Swedish makes it all ok, for some reason!

She was definitely on 5th ave in MIDTOWN yesterday when I got off work. I passed by her and shook my head. Nice try, fashionista. Really. But it's a no-go.

And hello Guest 14- ever walk by the Conde Nast building? Hit 5th Ave at 9 a.m. and tell ME there are no fashionable people in Midtown.

I saw her while browsing in Forever 21, and she definitely stood out. She's beautiful, and I admire her ability to rock those shoes, but the dress is unfortunate. Still, it's so much more fun to try something and have it be a bit off than to just be ... boring.

How small is manhattan that half the commentators saw her on the streets? lol.

I think she's a very pretty girl, but I think she was summoning a little too much Carrie Bradshaw when she decided to put this on.

It looks way too effortful, it looks like a costume since she's pairing items from the same era without adding anything current. Not good.
