Streetwalker: Non Bathing Beauty

Got Her: Walking down Spring St.

Stalked Her: Because she was red, white, blue and adorable all over.

Shot Her: Because we were intrigued by the overalls and after two blocks of walking behind her, we decided we wanted to know more.

She Says: "The skirt is H&M and the overalls are actually an American Apparel bathing suit I'm wearing underneath everything. The color scheme, well I guess I just like them together."

We Say: That's one of the most creative uses of a bathing suit we've ever seen: it's cute, it's inventive, and if you happen to get pushed into a pool - no worries!

the only person i've seen to date that can pull off an american apparel swimsuit without looking huge... she deserves some sort of award... or cheese fries!

Wow, that's the first time I've ever seen someone wear an AA bathing suit in a way that's even remotely flattering.

I'm very impressed that she could take this suit and find a way to wear it so that it looks chic. (Seriously, how is it supposed to cover ANYONE'S boobs? I am baffled.)

Up-close I think the outfit looks ill-fitting, and she looks a bit pregnant in the first picture.
Cute in theory, though

The only thing remotely original about her might have to be those tattoos. And even then, it's a far stretch.

When will girls learn that unless you have the physique of Snejana Onopka, tucking into a high waisted pencil skirt like that will make anyone have a stomach bulge.

that outfit looks uncomfortable and unflattering.

I don't even want to imagine how that bathing suit would look if she weren't wearing a tank underneath. What exactly does it cover?

Yay, I love her. As someone who grew up in Rhode Island, I can say that Providence has some of the most creative dressers. Or at least they did in the early 90s before they built the mall and Urban Outfitters/Anthropologie. At least this girl found an original way to wear clothes from common stores. Who cares if she's not a twig? People are so annoyingly weight obsessed. She looks cool.

She IS a twig!

As for the small bump on her stomach, for all any of you know she just ate lunch. Or god forbid, she was on her period.

I don't think it's her weight,or even the outfit that is a problem for me. It's the FIT of the clothes.
The Sartorialist (whom we all love) shoots people of all shapes, sizes and styles but one thing is constant; their clothes all fit them very well.
You did it right the last time when you profiled the bartender. He was a bit rumpled (in a good way) but his clothes fit him well, so it worked.

I definitely think she looks cute, but what if she has to pee? It must take forever to get out of that outfit!

egad! i love that she figured out how to use the bathing suit in a very cute and organic way. yes, the outfit could fit better (but that might be due to the cheapness of h&m and aa materials) but the whole thinking behind the outfit is mildly genius.

She looks like some hipster doofus.

The outfit is ill-fitting, and looks unbearably uncomfortable in the heat.

A complete disaster.

Creative use of a swimsuit, but the whole outfit draws attention to her stomach and it is not flattering!
