Whitney Port to Leave People's Revolution; Going to DVF?!

Aug 21, 2008 @ 3:30pm

whitney and lauren working.jpgSo here's something we heard last night:

Whitney Port is leaving People's Revolution, probably sometime during Season 4 which just premiered, to do in-house PR for an unnamed designer.

No word on whether she leaves happily or begrudgingly, or whether she takes Lauren with her.

And where is she going? It's not totally confirmed, but the name Miguelina Gambaccini did come up...

UPDATE: We did a little asking around, and it looks like she's going to end up at... DVF! Though the DVF press office says they "can't confirm"...

Good for Whitney...fashionista, I'm curious about your opinion on lauren and her style...do you think she deserves all the recognition for fashion she has gained?

Maybe this will be the startup for Whitney's spinoff show?

Good. Hopefully she will leave the show while she is at it. She is too good to be with such low-life trash.

the fact that this is considered news completely degrades this blog. people with internships and wealthy parents are not worth an entire post. happens everyday, in every city.

Damn #11. Jealous much? I get the feeling that Whitney is one of the few people on that show that is genuinely talented and only joined the show because it seemed like fun and was actually looking for a career in fashion, not because she was a fame-hungry whore. Come on...we all know that if someone offered you a gig on a reality TV show on MTV, we'd snatch up the offer. I would, at least.

if anything, i think emily weiss should have a reality show. not only is she working for one of my favorite stylists, but it seems like she is looking to become one too, and that takes major hard work and most commonly years of assisting and patience. that i would watch as opposed to whitney or lauren etc.

whitney needs to get away from lauren conrad. please lets hope that lauren doesnt follow her, this is a great opportunity for whitney!

Clearly sets ground for a spinoff, which is bound to be great since she is probably the only girl on The Hills with any type of style sense...and she didn't even go to FIDM ( and neither does Lauren ahaha)

I agree, guest 16, Emily should be the one with the show; even with the one or two episode appearance, she's the one who made quite the impression.. As savvy as any fashionista reader might consider Whitney, she lacks the pizazz to keep (most of) us interested..

Speak for yourself 21. I enjoy Whitney. Emily was as dull as dish water. Now if Emily removed the stick from her ass well hey, let the camera roll.

I think its hilarious that people actually believe Whitney really works at People's Revolution. You always see candids of her out filming w/Lauren and crew in the daytime and she's out shopping w/friends on weekdays and/or working on her own fashion line. When does she have time to actually work at PR? Face it - she goes in when the cameras are on.

The producers were cool to hook her up with a job at DVF. I don't think she got it on her own.

The best word I have heard used to describe Whitney is "bovine." Yeah she is cute and has some semblance of style, and is moderately intelligent when compared to Lauren's fembot IQ, Emily is the only one who truly represents the people that succeed in fashion--motivated, detail oriented, hardworking, etc. She put all her classes at NYU on 2 days to work at both Chanel and Teen Vogue, has worked for W and is now apparently working w a stylist, according to Fashionista.

Whitney>>>>>Lauren et al but seriously Whitney is OUT. OF. IT.
