Did anyone else notice that Freja wasn’t in yesterday’s Gucci show?
Excluding Resort, she hasn’t missed walking Gucci since Fall 05, having stomped for the Italian house for the past six regular seasons in a row, opening the show twice. She’s practically a Gucci mascot (but second to Natasha Poly, of course), so her absence on roll call is definitely a surprise.
In fact, Freja’s only walked a few shows in Milan so far, but that’s still more than Catherine McNeil, who’s been entirely absent from Fashion Week since her walk at Tommy.
Is somebody kidnapping the good models one by one? Because that would make staring at Zara-esque wares a lot less interesting…

Funny, I was just reading an article on nytimes.com about tattooing (in the fashion/style section) and it mentioned Freja. Saying she got “float” inked on her neck, but someone at her agency was quoted as saying it didn’t affect her bookings.
Or did it… ? (Kidding.)
mcneil’s sick, apparently. and freja, well, if you’re the kind to speculate and believe in the rumors, she’s probably there for her ‘friend’.
and yup! the show’s not the same without her, but of course, this is coming from a fan.

I was admiring (that’s the right word!) the collections of the Milan fashion week (love it more than any other…maybe ‘cuz i’m italian!) and i noticed it:

Isn’t it very similar to a Gucci’s one worn by Gwyneth Paltrow? It’s the same colour and design circa, it just has a bow on the collar.

I met her in the Pringle of Scotland show and she was pissed! Practically didnt talk to anybody and when asked her for an interview she almost slapped me!
Don’t know if it was the heat on the backstage (Sasha also was very reluctant to talk and was in a very bad mood), if she is normally a prick or she’s paasing by tough times.
Anyways she looks very pissed on the pics of the show!
I personally adore fashion but don’t notice the models at all and could care less who’s modeling. Am I the only one?
What about Raquel? She wasn’t there either, which is totally odd.

^we’re talking about milan. both girls walked NY. someone reported that catherine mcneil might also miss paris.
lots of top ten girls skipped milan (except for a couple major shows)- no big deal. they are going to retire sooner or later though (seriously, this is like raquel’s 20th season, she can’t do it forever!). a new generation of models is just cropping up and they will soon lead the pack… it’s just the way fashion has to keep moving forward and the career of a model.
