Today we heard that Daphne Guinness will grace the cover of the imminent new Vogue Italia’s Couture Supplement, thanks to Steven Klein.
It sounds really exciting and interesting, especially since Daphne’s vibe matches the prim-goth vibe threading through Fall, thanks to Prada’s high-necked black lace and all the black lip gloss and pretty much any mention of Balenciaga ever.
It’s also fun because Daphne Guinness is chic, interesting, intelligent, imaginative… and over forty.
And in a world where 27-year-old Gisele Bundchen gets bumped from a lingerie campaign because she’s “too old,” that’s a very cool thing.
We’re looking forward to it, Ms. Guinness.
