i guess it's some kind of play on words, since "faux" means "fake" and "pas" means "not", so i'd say that the bag is real, but still a faux pas...

actually i think she was doing a play on words using the expression "faux pas", in which the word "pas" doesn't mean "not", it means "step". As in the bag is faux (fake) and the use of the bag is not cool (a faux pas)...
