First Look: BCBG

Sep 05, 2008 @ 12:05pm

BCBG 18.jpgWhen we took our seat at the BCBG show this morning, the first thing we heard was a PR girl mumbling into her headset, "Anna wants to start. Now."

Anna took her sunglasses off, and the lights dimmed exactly one minute later.

The clothes? Pretty, floaty, mostly muted colors - exactly what you might expect at a BCBG show.

Of note: It was the first time we saw new Lancome face Arlenis walk a runway - and she was a natural.

Also of note: Irina K seems to have adopted Karlie Kloss' death drag, which brought the show to a screeching halt since it took her a few dozen seconds to round the corner at the end of the runway. She did, however, look kind of amazing doing it.

We see most of these looks on any starlette looking to perfect that "I'm naturally lithe and glowing" look on a red carpet somewhere in LA - or just on Shopbop...

Looks like a typical BCBG collection - very resort. I just hope we don't see too much of that pink color showing up on the runways!

LOVE Anna to death!

Dear Fashionista,

PLEASE stop taking pictures at a weird angle. It's incredibly distracting--I can't concentrate on the clothes when everything is unnecessarily off kilter.

Love,
a devoted reader

Guest 9-
I'm pretty sure they take photos at that angle because that's where they're sitting. If they waited for the model to be directly in front of them they would be getting a sideways view. It's that simple.

classic bcbg--loose, flowy, relaxed. lots of draping in this show. i love the orange and blue tunic that karlie's wearing. to think that we're in the same school grade, yet....sigh.
the white shoes that eniko is wearing are quite chloe-esque...anyone else think so?
and i totally agree with you, guest 7. those ads were outright awful; the models didn't even look like real people anymore. i really loved bcbg's ads from last spring though, with karen elson.
