People Are Talking

Katie_Grand@condenast.com?!

Kate Moss PopOverheard in the Vogue halls:

Katie Grand is leaving POP, the vivid British magazine she began, to start a new magazine for Conde Nast.

She offered her job to one of our favorite editors ever, but since POP is also reducing its funding now that Katie’s over and out, the candidate decided it ultimately couldn’t be worth it for her.

Now the magazine’s future is up in the air, and as for Conde Nast starting yet another fashion title, well, WTF.

How much weight this rumor holds remains to be seen - our sources are pretty impeccable, but also so thin, we wouldn’t be surprised if their extreme fashion diets were making them a little delusional.

Less Karl! More Cake! Less Stella! More Stella Artois! Etc.

While we're at it, what about Wintour's being replaced by Doletskaya?

we'll talk about it when we think there's an ounce of truth to it, which I certainly don't. of course russian vogue is making lots of money; their luxury economy is skyrocketing. I don't think that situation infringes or threatens anna wintour's, not at all.

i think this would be great if she is allowed the free reign she deserves (and why would she take it if not?) because then, hopefully, we would get something POP-esque a) monthly and b) for like $5!

The economy is faltering and ad pages are down, does anyone really think Conde Nast is going to attempt to launch a new magazine?
