McQueen on Net-a-Porter - Early, Expensive

alexander mcqueen fall 08 look.jpgHere’s a fun bit we’re sure was lost in the shuffle of what should really be called Fashion Weak:

Net-a-Porter is doing a repeat of that time they stocked their site with Halson pieces only 24 hours after their runway debut, but this time, with McQueen.

On September 29th, you can go on Net-a-Porter, see the McQueen show, and be able to purchase eight looks from his Pre-Spring collection, which won’t be in stores until almost the end of this year.

Not only is that almost like being able click the clothes you see from the runway into your closet (a personal dream of ours), but it’s also a way to get your hands on what’s sure to be some seriously great stuff for Spring - that is, if you can afford a McQueen evening gown you haven’t even tried on.

How come you guys always write in the first person plural, instead of saying "a personal dream of ours" (which may even be gramatically incorrect, as personal refers to one person) you might say "a personal dream of mine". I becomes we, my becomes ours, etc. Although I still like to read anything about fashion, that tone gives the site a kind of insider-y tone ("look what we're doing and you're not!")and is very annoying. It really has reached a peak lately, and I thought you should know. You probably don't even mean to sound that way. Just curious.
