Michael / Rocha in ‘08

2849356484_493da28270.jpg Doubtless you’ve seen the model pins floating around during Fashion Week, created by an emerging website called Modelinia that hasn’t yet launched but already hired the super-cool Sophie Laffont from French Vogue.

The badges are brilliant, and you wouldn’t believe the skirmish to get them - the VOTE STAM ones caused a bit of a fight during the Elise Overland presentation!

But even though COCO ‘08 is pinned to our bag right this second, our real favorite button reads UP THE TALLY FOR ALI. Like, hell yeah!

Faran found Ali backstage at Marc by Marc, and gave up her button to its namesake - a bit like releasing a baby bird back into the wild, you know?

But that’s okay - we’ll always be Team Ali Michael on the inside. And it looks like a lot of other designers are, too - now that she’s 18, she can be a little more vamp (as seen at yesterday’s excellent and electric Doo.Ri show…).

she's gorgeous! Too bad the regular public can't access those pins! I would LOVE to sport a small collection of all my favourite catwalk vixens!

Sadly though, it looks like Ali's lost a fair amount of weight since last show season. Not to scrutinize - I was just really hoping she would stick to her guns.

#3 - I was wondering the same thing. She has naturally great legs, but they look really freaky in that Max Azria number.

Much like fashion, it seems models opinions and politics change with the season.

I figured the 'models are too thin' movement in the fashion community would soon go the way of 'I'd rather go naked than wear fur'.

even if you want to take a stand, you can't just turn anorexia on and off like a switch...

which makes me want to ask whether or not it's great to be in an environment that is toxic to someone with identified issues and insecurities about weight..........

I want those buttons!
Ali's one of my favorites! She does look like she lost some weight but hopefully she's eating right.

I can't wait for Modelinia to come out!

I know it has agencies in a tizzy since one modeling agency director has instructed his staff to remove their pins from their desk and bag since he is "in like flynn" with models.com...

He doesn't want to lose the fawning press he has been getting on models.com's two sites...

I would love for Fashionista to do some investigating!
