Are you talking about the Fairlane concept car?
It's modeled after a woody, which with those surfboard associations is as close to "nautical" as I can get.
And, of course, it would be Mr. Lauren whose influence that is. Not sure about any skills being leant besides his opinions.

eddie bauer did an explorer, ll bean has done a subaru, and countless others, marc ecko is doing ones for nissan
woody's are more closely associated with surf culture of the 60's than being valid associations of nautical culture. nautical generally refers to sailing culture, history, as well as industry and the performance of ocean navigation. I'd say LL Bean fits the bill the most as far as fashion/clothing companies associated with cars as they've been outfitting hunters, sailors and fisherman 24 hours a day in freeport since 1912
