Rumor Mill: At Marc by Marc, Boys Will Be Girls

Sep 05, 2008 @ 10:03am

cole_mohr_marc_by_marc.jpg Lord knows we've been wrong before, but here's the gossip from a male model agent:

Marc Jacobs asked Cole Mohr to wear a dress in the upcoming Marc by Marc Jacobs show.

Supposedly, Cole's already been cast and fit for the look - sort of unsurprising, considering he modeled MJ frocks in the designer's most recent ad campaign.

We're a little bummed because... well, we were hoping that Marc would put a girl with curves on his runway and not a boy with jangly limbs and a gorgeous pout and a scrotum, but oh well.

Let's see if Cole just kinda goes out there, or if he actually opens the show.

Kind of makes sense, the way models are looking these days--just do away with the boobs and the hips entirely and cast a skinny boy.

I've been waiting for this day. Marc will never stop surprising people. Plus, Cole's cute.

To tell you the truth, I find the entire campain pretty bland and so I will not be looking forward to seeing him walk down the runway - sorry!

Of course it's going to happen, his recent Marc by Marc show in Korea featured one of their top male models in the black/pink houndstooth cocktail.

Whatever, Todd Oldham put men in womens clothes on the runway back in the day! Does anybody else remember Billy Beyond!?

But if their gonna put Cole in a dress, he better wear that dress in the name of Bryanboy & Billy Beyond!

I love Marc and his craziness, but if the dress was designed for a femme, you'd think there would be a girl out there modeling it instead of a guy.

I am so over Marc Jacobs. He bores me to death....
His clothes are boring, granma-ish and cheap looking.
He lost his" je ne sais quoi"
Bring on Rodarte, Christophe Decarnin at Balmain, Nicolas Geshquiere and so on...People we real talent ....and not PR machines.
