Spring 09: More Ruffles Than a Bag of Lays

Obviously, ruffles are one of the big trends for Spring 09 – and this is just a sampling.
They were at both the expected (Catherine Malandrino, Luella) and the unexpected (Ohne Titel), and we now expect to see them at all the usual suspects (Forever 21, Topshop, H&M, J Crew, Blair Waldorf, etc.)
But don’t expect them on us – at least, for now…

I kind of love that Paul Smith outfit, and the Marc and Herchcovitch dresses are adorable, but the rest just looks kind of silly.
Now all I want is MORE clothes and a bag of chips. Juuust great!
Um, Lays don’t have ruffles. Ruffles have ruffles (or, as they call them “Ridges”).
ummmm I feel as if this is just an overabundance/repeat of the ruffle trend we are currently seeing in everysinglestore right now.
I’m seeing a lot more diversity on the runways this year. Love it. Hopefully it’s not just another trend…
