A Vintage Pick Me Up

RayBan-5W0937.jpgThere’s a store on our street called Linda Derector.

Their window’s always full of super awesome sunglasses, both new and vintage, that make us wish we had a few hundred dollars to spend on something we know we’ll lose within two years.

It’s this thing we have with eyewear, whether it’s a $4 pair of Forever 21s or a $300 pair of Stella McCartneys - they never last more than two years.

But we finally went into the store today, and lo and behold, they’re having a 40% off sale which means $195 vintage Raybans are $117 and $200 vintage Bulgaris are $120. Which means we might be able to justify a purchase.

Which means you should swing by, too.

(It’s on Mott between Prince and Spring.)

i wish i could justify spending that much on sunglasses. i can't spend more than $15 on any pair, or they'll break and/or disappear. :/

AH! I live right across the street from the store. I always check the window out as I pass by, not even willing to go inside to avoid seeing the prices. Now, I know.

Thanks for the heads up.

I went in there once, looking for some vintage sunnies, and I had my heart set on a pair I had seen there about a week before. I was on the verge of buying them, when a woman (who I was told was the owner) told another worker that I was obviously just wasting her time... Needless to say, I haven't been in since.

Guest #4, you shoulda told her off. Some people need to be humbled, she was obviously begging for it.
