Converse + Sequins + Florent = Heaven

sequin converse.jpgI’m not really a sneakers kind of girl.

But I did go to the Converse party last night because

a) Cute boys wear Converse, (usually).

b) The Young Lords performed, and we like to play groupie.

c) It was at Florent, or the space that used to be Florent, and I was feeling nostalgic.

d) The one pair of sneakers living in my closet are black Converse.

But now, I want these sequined ones, too. Even though sequins are everywhere and I don’t really like them - there’s something appealing about a sneaker sparkle partnership.

I might be in the right frame of mind, or they might be as amazing as I think they are. I just need someone to scribble on the soles with black Sharpie and they’ll be perfect.

I think you need them, too.

(a) Cute boys wear Converse. That's all that matters. Love the sequined Converse. I have them in black. I wore them w/my vintage Pierre Cardin tuxedo and my favorite Ramones T-shirt. It was super cute, but still hottt! xo

but they're still 80 bucks...for converse. although, i do love the all-star light in the gold or silver metallic. i'm waiting for them to go on sale.

A girl in my French class has the silver ones and wears them every day. I think they're a little too flashy. The gold might be nice though.

Ohhhhh mannnnn, I love love love converse! I have the craziest collection of them. From candy-cane striped to Tennis-ball material [weird i know but soo crazy-awesome!] =D I need to get theseee on the double! =P

Those are nice, but I think I will wait til I can find a used, worn in pair at a second hand shop for a ridiculous price.

totally cute!! but even better if they were in red...

aside from the cost (poor college kid here), my only concern is that it'd make me look juvenile, which i'm trying to avoid since i look 12 and am graduating this year.

They have these at Target for like 30 bucks. I have the silver sequined skimmers (say that three times fast).

I've had the black pair. This is a re-issue. Converse told me they sold out so fast they are bringing out more. So excited for more colors!

Currently in Taiwan, and they come in fuschia or sapphire blue.
