Lauren Conrad on Actual Campuses

lauren conrad collection look.jpgIf you happen to be a college student in Austin, Atlanta, Boston, Minneapolis or Los Angeles, and a fan of the Lauren Conrad Collection, then you’re in luck.

Lauren’s kicked off a college-tour of her line, The Lauren Conrad Collection College Tour, bringing a runway show to each school along the way. Apparently, she’s figured out that her key customer is young, in school, and probably in a sorority, and much more likely to buy the clothes if she graces the middle of class schedules with a fashion show.

Confirmed schools include Georgia State, Georgia Tech, University of Texas at Austin, University of Minnesota, Brandeis and BU, and shows will go on through the next month.

In other celebrity-design news, have you seen Nicole Richie’s first line for House of Harlow? Because we have to say, Kitson or not, we’re pleasantly surprised, and picturing that Pyramid Bangle with everything come Spring.

re HoH - i was surprised as well. It's nice to see that the price points aren't outrageous the way Conrad's dull collection is.

Actually, it's the University of Minnesota. There is no University of Minneapolis.

So, I'm a Brandeis student, and knowing the demographic of students here fairly well, I find it kinda strange that LC decided to come here. The typical Brandeis student probably won't care to much.

That being said... I'm kind of geekily excited.

I go to Georgia State and I can tell you that no one there cares. It's a school of mostly older, off campus students. Not her demo. She should have gone to UGA. There's A LOT of soriety girls there.

I didn't realize that being involved in greek life was equated with liking uninspired celebrity fashion lines... I guess my entire sorority and I missed that memo.

She def would've been better off at UGA or Georgia Southern...Georgia State is def NOT where her dem is. AT ALL.

she'll probably be a hit at BU. Let's face it. BU has a crapload of sorority girls and Lauren Conrad wannabes.

This girl is a millionaire without her shows, without her fashion line. Her family is loaded. I don't know why anyone in their right mind would keep feeding this girl money. the rich keep getting richer because we continue to buy things they create. I would NEVER give her any of my money. her clothes are garbage.

House of Harlow 1960 is really cute and surprisingly reasonable. But it's weird that Lauren Conrad is doing a College tour first off because I'm not even convinced that she even goes to FIDM, and also that he line is insanely over priced!

I'm a Brandeis student, and I'm really surprised to hear of this. They have barely advertised the event- I've seen a few posters of Lauren that mention she's coming to Boston, but I didn't realize she was coming here.

maybe this is because i'm 15, but i'm extremely happy, fashion-related events barely ever hit Atlanta, when is she gonna be at Georgia State? some site said this lasts through October but tomorrow's halloween...
