i really don't understand this - everybody gets a half-day the day before thanksgiving, seriously, people of all types of jobs leave by like 2pm at the latest. even sites backed by major companies checked out early yesterday. the day before thanksgiving is the most congested travel day of the entire year, so obviously everybody leaves early. and no one works the day after thanksgiving either, so when you combine that with the normal weekend, yes, it's four straight days. but unless you're a nurse or cop or something, you definitely have these days off. just wanted to help, i get the sense that some of you don't realize how major a holiday it is in the US.

Wow, people will even fight about other peoples' jobs. The world is coming to a sad place when you criticize others' working schedules. For real? Maybe the Fashionista office as a whole is closed all weekend.
I know if my boss said, hey the office is closed starting at 1 and we'll be back on Monday, I sure as hell wouldn't come in just to satisfy the ungrateful little people that commented on this post.
Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving Britt and Natalie!!!

I am totally happy for anybody, Fashionista included, to get the days sandwiching Turkey Day off. But it is TOTALLY NOT TRUE that everybody gets those days off. Not in NYC, anyway. So if you get those days off, that's one more thing to be thankful for.
