We swung by the new Eryn Brinie store this morning.
The Korean label opened their first American outpost in Soho in September. Nothing – not coats, bags or boots – costs more than $250; nothing, as far as we can see, is a rip-off of a runway design, and we want all of it (in fact it’s probably the first time we’ve ever shopped before 10am).
Neutral tones dominate the laid back, semi-slinky line. The spring collection includes lightweight knit sweaters over ruffled slips, high-waisted skinny pants with structured tuxedo jackets, loads of mini-skirts and super soft tees in that perfect shade of grey.
Patent leather bags and flats come studded or rhinestoned, scarves are all shapes and sizes, and there’s a small selection of costume jewelry.
Basically, Rachel Zoe called in one of everything – and she won’t give it back.

i know, isn’t it awesome? definitely that and the new comptoir on spring are the best bargain shops right now!!
I personally found it way overpriced. Most things I picked up were $100 – $150. For the quality, everything should have been half that.
Definitely better in design than H&M, but the fit is horrible. I felt like I was in the petites section — the arms were too small, the torso too short. I am a size 6 and took a large in Eryn Brynie. I am never a large. And the fit was still off. I’ll be sticking with Topshop and Zara.
BTW, plenty of knockoffs to be found at Eryn. I remember seeing some Rick Owens copies when I was there.
actually, i feel like everything in that store rips off Vanessa Bruno.
The quality is shoddy for the prices. In fact you can find the same things at the street markets in Asia for hundreds less.
Love this store! Have been shopping there since it opened and just adore every item in the place.
2, the reasoning to the sizing is probably cause they cut differently than american sizing. korean women tend to have short torsos, short legs, and are much smaller in size in comparison to american women. (not putting anyone down)
and i completely agree with 3, half of the stuff looked like a vanessa bruno knock off.
I discovered this store around a month or so ago right after it had opened and fell in love. Everything there is unique and modern but still wearable. Got a great top that people stop me and ask about on the subway, street, etc.
agree about the quality. i was so excited looking through the windows, but when i looked closer the quality was pretty shoddy and the prices were atrocious. what a let down.
yes, i’ve checked out a couple times although the ideas are there, the quality and finished product fall flat. and anything i would even consider trying on was way too expensive for what it was. too too bad – i really wanted another ‘bargain’ place to shop.
except for the few structured pieces, it looks a little crafts-y.

i swung by the store today, i didn’t see some of the pieces in store like the red dress (that i really really love)! was this just last week? also, do they have other stores around NYC?
5, uniqlo fits my 5’9″ frame great, so why should eryn brynie be any different? if they are trying to get an american customer base, they need to increase their range of sizes. until then, this store is best for petites and korean women only.
