Reminds me of this ancient punk mag my friend has from back when the genre was still too legit to quit (now?...well, yesterday's Vogue post comes to mind). It's got an incredible freshness to it: raw, but without the forced feeling you get from its derivatives. All irreverence and profanity and fun. You can tell the "editors" did the page layouts the old fashioned, pin-and-copy way.
Anyway, these are very DIY-y, especially the third picture. I hope the rest of the book is like this.
