^^ Ding ding dong, and we have a winner, yes it was Bacall.I belive it was Slim Keith who saw her on the cover and showed it to her then husband Howard Hughes, and as they say the rest is history.

Lauren Bacall was never married to Howard Hughes. (She married two actors, Humphrey Bogart in 1945 and Jason Robards in 1961.) I'm sure you were all dying to know :)
