Streetwalker: Matching Structures

streetwalker olya in valli.JPGOlya, Mom & Art Publisher

Got Her: At the Guggenheim’s Hugo Boss Prize 2008 party.

Stalked Her: Actually it was more like shimmied up beside her while dancing.

Shot Her: Because she was rocking out in a Giambittista Valli dress, fishnets, and perfect patent pumps with a drink in hand on the sloping Guggenheim floors as if it were the easiest thing in the world

She Says: “I’m here for the art! I wore the Valli because it’s very structural and that seemed appropriate for a party in these walls.”

We Say: You should wear that dress everywhere, Guggenheim or not.

To me, this look is top-to-bottom perfection.

I can't think of a more perfect dress to wear to a Guggenheim event. The collar is beyond architecturally brilliant for the occasion.

The picture is at an awkward angle so I can't tell the full effect of the dress but this is definitely the first "streetwalker" I've seen on this page that matches elegance with style.

It's nice to see a non-celeb/model/socialite pull off a designer look with such ease, but I'm also insanely jealous that she can afford it!

she sort of is a socialite, but like, an art world bohemian one. she is in vogue's weekly best dressed all the time, perhaps due in no small part to the fact that her face, when not smiling, as well as her sartorial choices, are strikingly similar to Ms. Kotur herself...

Gorgeous. I love this dress. She looks very cool, and she pulls off a potentially unflattering hair style really well.

Maybe it's the angle of the photo (terrible) but this one does not impress me.

The dress is nice but what is with her makeup? It looks like she has on too pale foundation that she didn't blend on her forehead, unflattering lipstick, and no eye-makeup, which she really needs. I don't get it.
