Ali and Karlie, the Christmas Version

ali michael holding her pin.jpgIn need of model news?

Check out this interview with Ali Michael and Karlie Kloss, so you too can know that Karlie loves her “gram’s ginger snaps”, and that Ali can’t get anyone in her family to try her “vegan treats”.

Happy holiday weekend!

I really dislike Ali Michael. I don't know why, I just do. Ugh.

Really? I LOVE Ali! No wonder her skin is so perfectly flawless... she sounds and looks like a healthy vegan.

Really? Have you met her?

I always considered Ali to be one of the most trailblazing models in the industry today – it takes a great deal of courage to "do" what she did. And frankly, it's evident from just this interview alone that she is very bright and super benevolent: "...when in Texas, I volunteer at a therapeutic horseback riding stable where I work with kids with mental and physical disabilities." How can you hate on that?

Guest #4: People are entitled to their opinions. Your comment would have much more value if you hadn't included that obnoxious first line. Have you even met her??

Any person in the public eye is subject to snap judgements. Do any of us really know these people? I highly doubt it.

Sure she did something brave, but have you seen her recent weight loss? It's obvious she's struggling with her weight again. She was interviewed for nymag on what she planned on having for thanksgiving and her reply was : "I'm vegan, so I won't be partaking in the turkey, casseroles, and pie like the rest of my family. I will probably just have a simple meal of steamed greens, beans, avocado, and maybe even a little piece of raw dark chocolate." I hope she knew there are other alternatives for vegans during thanksgiving.

But I don't dislike her. She seems like a sweet girl and a great model!

Guest # 6: And what's wrong with that? I think that meal is fine and balanced... but that's just my "opinion." (and "everyone is entitled to their opinion" right?)
What is she supposed to do, binge eat and stretch her stomach like the rest of the sick American culture?
Eating too much IS an eating disorder as well... I wouldn't forget that fact any time soon.
I'd give her a break. She's so young and I think it's a little bit perverted to focus so much on her body weight ups and downs (because let's face it, EVERYONE'S weight goes up and down every once and a while)... she's under enough of a microscope as it is.

Poor Ali M. she's back to her weight struggles. Now she's a vegan???? Since when? When she was healthy she was eating normal food. I guess eating a balance diet gives her a non-modelesque physique. So she resort to veganism? You can't just become a vegan overnight and be successful at it. You'll crash land sooner or later.

Well, Ali has been vegan for a little but now. I know that when she first started modeling way back, she just cut out junk food to lose weight. Then, when she had to lose more, she became a vegetarian. She says this in the Teen Vogue interview she did about a year ago. So she's probably been vegan for a few months at least.
Actually now that I say it, that really isn't a long time. So I don't know why I just bothered writing all that out. Hmmm it's 3:30 am. Give me a break.

Our culture puts way to much pressure on celebrities to be perfect. Why should they be?

Ali sounds intelligent and she's a beautiful and truly unique looking model.

to number 5 and 6 who asked if number 4 has met ali-- shes a MODEL, so having an opinion on her is not reserved for those who have talked to her.

Whoever said being a vegetarian will make you skinny is dead wrong. I've known vegetarians and vegans who have been doing it for over 10 years and they are fatter than me! I'm a meat, fish, chicken, eggs, bacon, duck, caviar, milk chocolate candy eater and i'm more tone and skinnier. Of course once in a blue moon i hit the gym, most of the time i don't but i still retain a slimmer body and legs. I love cuban, italian, spanish and middle eastern, japanese, chinese cuisine. I love dessert and eat junk food when i'm on the rag and I'm still thinner than my vegan and vegetarian cousin and friends! Go figure.

As for Ali Michael, being a vegan is not bad but minimizing what to eat on top of being a vegan is like having an eating disorder all over again. Ali has a relapse. She's back with the eating disorder again.

Besides, Vegans do not wear leather, fur or any animal product. My vegan friends had a sh.t fit when they saw Ali with all the leather clad top and shoes. Vegans are very serious with their cause. They say Ali is a liar and should stop abusing the word to hide her eating disorder. C'mon Ali who are you kidding? :(

i completely agree with with guest #13. vegans are hard core! i am a vegetarian (with lactose issues) so i do eat about 98% vegan diet. but i eat well! my thanksgiving and christmas dinner included celebration roasts, vegan mashed potatoes and mushroom garvy, wild rice salads, vegan pumpkin pie and mousse, etc. beans and avocado? come on. she is definitely using her veganism to hide her eating disorder (coming from some one who is recovering from anorexia).

i am not trying to bash ali, because i still think she is a bueatiful, intelligent model. however, i wish her well...she does not deserve to live this way. i think she needs to embrace her natural figure and eat freely! not just to ''save the animals'' because oviously that is not her main priority.
