Anne’s Fountainhead Moment

In 2006, when The Devil Wears Prada came out, everyone thought Vogue would suck it up and put Anne Hathaway on its cover.

No such luck - though Anna Wintour did wear Prada to the premier which is almost better.

Now, three years later, Anne graces the first cover of 2009.

Here’s a behind the scenes peek at the shoot - styled by Tonne Goodman, make-up’d by Gucci Westman and shot by Mario Testino. Anne aptly declares, “If you can’t look gorgeous with this team then you can’t look gorgeous period.”

The Rodarte dress doesn’t hurt either.

She is super cute, US Vogue is still without hope, but soo glad she scored the cover. The video is wonderful, when she say's something like: "It dosen't matter wheter i'm dying or not, i'm on the cover of Vogue".So sweet haha.

i love her! she looks so unbelievably STUNNING in the shots of her talking wearing green. the way she talks is so... composed and cute. and i don't think US vogue is "without hope," unlike the rest of the fashionistas. us vogue is us vogue, it's not terribly edgy but thats why we have italian vogue. it is very american, which is fitting for american vogue.

I think it's funny that she's so often played the ugly duckling roles, when she's so incredibly stunning in real life. I love how she's evolved this past year.
