Testino and his team should be embarrassed and ashamed to have shot such horrible work and make the clothes look so cheap bc to me it looks like an advert for some cheap low budget label that has a price point of $19.99. When I see it I think cheap and boring

well im glad lilys back. Im not a particular fan of hers or anything, but burberry is her brand and it never should have been anyone elses. She embodies it perfectly.

Why does it look cheap? Is it because not enough skin is showing? I admit the poses are a tad boring, but overall I really like this. I think they are supposed to look a bit mannequin-ish, it stands as a contrast to the organic-y quality of the image. Burberry couldn't go nostalgic-organic with natural or graceful poses, cuz it wouldn't fit... not crisp enough, if that makes sense...

In response to guest number 10 the clothes look rather cheap because they're basic (as I mentioned before they're rather gap-like). I've seen wide leg denim and cropped jackets at most retailers, it isn't quite the offering you would expect from a luxury fashion house - at least not in their advertisements which should be a fantasy. Furthermore the campaign doesn't look like it was shot by a seasoned vet . Is this the pre-collection? It just leaves me rather confused, perhaps its strategic and they want to appear rather friendly and approachable to the masses in these hard economic times? In any event the folks at Burberry should have saved their budget instead of commissioning Mario Testino for such uninspired photos.

Terrible styling. I am beyond disappointed. Bucket hats have not been okay since I was in third grade. I agree, it's the Gap through and through (my bucket hat actually was from Gap Kids...and it was also patchwork). And why are Alexina and Eden's jeans dragging in the dirt??

The models look gorgeous and I would wear any or all of those outfits, but I see where some of the other commenters are coming from: if I'm buying Burberry, I don't just want a bucket hat or faded jeans that look like could've easily been picked up for 30 bucks somewhere.

Sigh....to live in a world where one picks out their "basics" from Burberry!

that specific ad is probably highlighting burberry's new denim line, that's why the clothes look "basic", its not the ss09 prorsum ad

If I had Burberry jeans I don't think I'd let them drag in the dirt. And I agree with some of the others that bucket hats aren't okay yet. Still too 1998 IMO.

Does anyone actually wear their jeans that long? It would be like sweeping the ground as you walk. Not to mention how wet you'd get when it rains...

Even if this photo is from a new denim range, I'm not impressed. The photo just doesn't exude the image that I'd expect from (and pay for at) Burberry.
