Chanel and Marc by Marc Spring 09, Revealed

heidi mount fakes freakiness for chanel spring 09.jpgYou may already know that two of the most anticipated ads for Spring 09 have finally been revealed - Chanel’s, with mystery girl Heidi Mount posing in Karl’s Vermont home, and Daisy Lowe on a white bed for Marc by Marc.

And what do these two things have in common?

A certain austerity we think we might start seeing in other campaigns, too…

So lame. Doesn't seem related to the Chanel brand at all. So Karl shoots a generic dead-eyed Olsen clone in an empty house. Great. The ads have no feeling, no emotion and no romanticism. Yuk.

right! Ashley Olsen is what the Chanel ad reminds me of!I'm not a huge fan of Heidi so I do not understand why Karl stopped using Coco for his ad model?
oh come on Marc, Daisy Lowe?why her?it's probably only because of her Dad's wife?ever since Marc lost weight so has he lost his mind!he's coming up with the lamest and weakest designs and marketing skills......

Heidi is so bland. I can't believe Karl is using her. I expected to see Sasha, but she should consider herself lucky not to be in these. Sasha as Ashley Olsen would really creep me out.

looove it. Fav chanel ad ever. I think it captures the youth of the Chanel perfectly.
