Did anyone else recognize the YSL before Beyonce on the January cover of ELLE?

no one's hating on her value whether it be worthy of designer wear #5. she just looks down right unflattering in the picture. her lips do blend in awkwardly with her face #11. however gorgeous her eyes may be, her hair and nose are unnaturally (ahem::UGLY::ahem) not her normal stunning self.

No. 5 - I do like Beyonce. She's really been rocking the designer frocks lately, and has made an interesting choice with Thierry Mugler to design her concert costumes. Plus, she gorgeous. That's why I couldn't figure out why they made her look like she's having stomach cramps.

I love Elle but I'm so disappointed! Beyonce? Come on. I hardly think the person who started House of Dereon is worthy of gracing a cover of Elle much less gracing it in YSL. No doubt the girl's talented but her line is hideous. Love the look with less headlines though.

I Live Fashion, What does one have to do in your world to be deemed worthy enough to grace the cover of Elle or wear YSL? I always just assumed to be worthy of an elle cover involved having something to sell to the public around the time the magazine hits the newstand. And is YSL really that exclusive and special that a multi Grammy award winning, super-talented, beautiful, and successful woman cannot wear it. I'm guessing by your high standards about 4 or 5 people in the world are worthy of wearing YSL. Gucci Group should just close up shop, call it a day, cut its loses and move on.

yes, she is free to wear whatever she wants, but that doesn't mean she can pull it off. she should stop trying to compete with rihanna's manufactured style and find her own. it's hard to dress yourself when your mother has been dressing you all your life, but she needs to figure out how to drape her own plasticine likeness.

Tyra would be so disappointed, Beyonce you're looking into the light!!
Anyway no one has the right to be disgruntled over Elle having Beyonce on the cover for this edition; to do so would be expecting too much from Elle who simply don't deliver on a consistent basis (in respects to their covers) .
With that said, her facial expression is a bit awkward and I can't buy in to this cover because I don't see Beyonce as high fashion.
