In the Market for a Celebrity Tiara?

Monday, Dec 29, 2008 / 11:53 AM

lauren conrad tiara.jpgWell, at least the New York Public Library thinks you are.
Starting on the 1st of January, there’ll be an online auction (through the 31st) to benefit the 87 branches of the NYPL and their teen programs. And what will everyone bid on? Tiaras designed by the likes of Vera Wang, Tommy Hilfiger, Nicole Miller, Bobbi Brown, Lauren Conrad, and Austin Scarlett from Project Runway (among others), in honor of the Princess Diaries.
If you believe none of this, please visit the official site.
LC’s, which we knew we had to pull from the gallery for you, is at left.
Happy clicking.

bobbi brown’s could be worth it…. lots of makeup

someone… please put an end to the lc madness… she has 10 times as much money as me and a stylist, and yet we dress the same??? not a fashion icon.

wow it must be SUCH a slow news day lol

lauren conrad, a fashion icon?! oh please, don’t tell me people think she’s a fashion icon!

I don’t like Lauren’s.

I think its cute. More classy than I expected.

lauren conrad is far from a fashion icon… she has no originality at all. the only thing she is known for is being a stupid reality tv star

Vera Wang’s and Cabot’s are probably the only two I would even think of buying, if I was to buy one. Wang’s because its pretty enough to wear, if I ever had to wear a tiara. And, Cabot’s is pretty and would be great to give to a girl who loves the books and the movies, or better yet, to a display at a local library.

vera’s is the only one that is useful, unless you dismantle bobbi brown’s and use it as your actual makeup – if your looking to buy one just to support the library, this might not be such a bad idea.
did anyone notice that the value of the tiaras is all “priceless”

I love the idea, I think it’s a perfect way to wave goodbye to the series I’ve been reading since I was ten!
And they are priceless, even though not all of them are valued it. Hilfiger’s is told to be worth $1000.
