I read a quote about hipsters once that said that they "fetishize the traditional." I thought that it was a really great way of expressing how the hipster trends work and if they are fetishizing the traditional, the traditional will eventually become traditional and mainstream again. My dad has worn ray bans his whole life, and believe me he's not stylish. The hipsters take these old staples and make them fresh. The sorority girls and business men are just taking back what's theirs. I am neither a southern sorority or a hipster but I love them because they are so chic and flattering (or because I am a shameless Kate Moss copy-cat). This was bound to happen.
