You're not being cheap. The line is disappointing since the quality of Lanvin in this line lacks their trademark quality.

But it will probably sell out anyway... supply and demand.

What is the point of this type of collaboration of the prices are still goign to be astronomical? Sure they are not actual Lanvin pieces but then again, isn't the entire colleciton in denim? Its not exactly those sumptuous fabrics we're so used from Lanvin. I used to think these collabs were to introduce higher-priced lines to masses (or at least those people not at the top of the spending food chain). If something like this is just going to sell at crazy high prices at the usual Barneys and Colettes to the socialites that most likely already own a nice range of Lanvin in their closets, what is the point????

Acne denim is probably more luxe than most Lanvin fabrics. H&M they are not. You guys are talking about Lanvin like they are haute couture! They make inside-out poly dresses with industrial zippers! Amazing, gorgeously draped inside-out poly dresses but they are not the epitome of luxury by any means. What makes this line expensive is the styles-the sweetheart strapless dress is a Lanvin body just done in different fabric. That is totally worth the price. The draped bomber in the 7th picture-amazing. The importance of Lanvin is not the fabric it is the pattern, and this collaboration is kind of proof, no?

looks 4 and 10 are above and beyond being worth the price, the rest is quite nice, but those two pieces are absolute knockouts

also like guest 5 said, acne denim is absolutely amazing, it will weather and age beautifully. these pieces will only become better as they get older

Guest 5 I was thinking the same thing. Lanvin is polyester at it's best which isn't the most luxurious fabric known to man; however with that said it isn't quite the same polyester that people are familiar with it's more durable, and breathable and has a close resemblance to silk! Also I would hardly consider Acne to be more luxe than Lanvin, youthful perhaps.

Anyway when I first heard about this collaboration I was confused as the pairing seemed quite ill-fitting but I like some of the pieces. I don't understand the price point and purpose of this line. What exactly is the purpose behind teaming up with Acne to produce overpriced denim garments? Is the Acne customer a potential Lanvin customer? -- I don't really think so. I feel as if Lanvin doesn't have much to gain from this collaboration.

I must admit I am a bit disappointed. It looks to me like this collection is all about Acne, Lanvin contributes with their price tag.

Nevertheless, I didn't really know what to expect when I first heard about the collaboration (frankly though, I hoped for ingeniousy graped denim gowns)
